A doula is a non-medical support person that provides emotional, informational and sometimes physical support. A birth doula provides said support before, during and immediately after labor; while a postpartum doula provides said support once you are home with baby. While doulas can work with midwives, the two are not interchangeable as midwives are medical professionals.
Together we will discuss a support package that fits your needs and agree upon a fee for services. Sliding scales are available.
Yes! Doulas can support births at hospitals, birth centers and home-births.
